ATHLETICS

The Clarinda Academy Athletic Department provides a comprehensive, wholesome, and powerful program that is consistent with the basic philosophy of the Clarinda Community School District. The administration of Clarinda Academy is concerned with the educational development of students and feels that a properly governed, well organized sports program will meet students’ needs for self-expression, mental alertness, and both physical and personal growth.

All athletic contests are contracted through the Iowa High School Athletic Association to ensure the finest sports environment in which to compete.

Athletes are selected for varsity, junior varsity, or freshmen teams based on demonstrated abilities and behaviors. Clarinda Academy is a member of the Corner Conference in southwest Iowa.
